Here are my next two.
I'm trying to use a lot of symbols in my work that appeal to me.
I'm planning on gouache, limited color.
Color comps on the way.
I'm also still rethinking the first one, because I'm neurotic. I'm just gonna redraw it, though.
So yay.

So, where are we now with the clown topic? Are you referencing real clowns or making them up? Can this project challenge you, lead you somewhere new? Just asking...
ReplyDeleteWith the clown topic, as of Degree Project reviews in December, we're at a point where I'm expressing different feelings and experiences I've gone through with clowns. I've learned a lot about clowns, and their symbolism in different points of time and societies.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a simpler approach, and what I'd like to get out of this is knowing I've done a complete series in a style I like, with characters that are meaningful to me, and to use symbols in my work that reflect my feelings. And I'm not going from reference - just from facts that I know about different types of clowns from different eras.
